Overview

What it is

Give your AI assistant a Google Docs link and it reads every comment in full: who wrote it and when, the text it refers to, whether it is open or resolved, the whole reply thread and who resolved it. Then ask it to summarise the open comments and tell you which ones are waiting on you.

It asks Google only for the documents.readonly and drive.readonly scopes, and none of its tools writes anything. You sign in with OAuth using your own Google account, and the tokens stay on your machine. It runs with npx in Claude Desktop, Claude Code or any MCP client that supports stdio. MIT licence, on npm as @yeyo11/google-docs-mcp, and listed in the official MCP Registry and on Glama.

Launches

  1. v0.1.2

google-docs-mcp 0.1.2 names the right sign-in command, explains expired sign-ins, refuses files that aren't Google Docs and decodes quoted text in comments.
